Innovative Energies
Generating electric power from forces of nature is our ambitious research project.
To this end we run the pilot hydropower plant "Elbstrom" on the Elbe below the Magdeburg Cathedral, just to the right next to the pier for VIKING river cruise ships.
Here, electric power is generated from the force of the Elbe’s current and fed into the power network.
